The cooking workshops at Aspademis are one of the most enjoyable moments of the week. The professionals design the activities using a methodology perfectly tailored to our users' needs, making turning them into exquisite chefs just one of the many goals set.
It all takes place in the small apartment we have adapted to their needs. They often call it a "mini-apartment"; in fact, they feel a sense of belonging. Making them responsible for household chores not only helps them mature, but also trains them in the independence and autonomy we're aiming for.
It begins with a trip to the supermarket, after having made a shopping list; it continues with selecting the necessary utensils and following the recipe step by step. In short, a multitude of actions that also reinforce cognitive processes such as attention, planning, organization, and memory.
They have fun, learn, strengthen bonds within the group by working as a team, and, as the icing on the cake, they feel strengthened by sharing the dishes they prepared themselves with their families.
